Is the Baby Mama range free from harsh chemicals?
Our products have been developed to contain natural, plant derived and gentle ingredients and are free from sulphates, parabens, synthetic preservatives, fragrance, essential oils, mineral oil, petrolatum, EDTA, PEGs and synthetic colouring. You might like to read through our list of ingredients to learn more about the ingredients included in our products.
Is the Baby Mama range Vegan Friendly?
Yes. None of our products contain any animal product or by products that can commonly be used in skincare, such as lanolin, goat’s milk, or beeswax.
Is the Baby Mama range Cruelty Free?
Yes. None of our ingredients or products are tested on animals and we partner with suppliers who are also cruelty free.
Where is the Baby Mama range manufactured?
All of our products are manufactured in Australia and Baby Mama is Australian owned.
Can Baby Mama products be used on the face?
Our products contain natural ingredients and are fragrance free, so they are suitable to be used on the face but please avoid your eyes and your baby's eyes. The exception to this is our Natural Nappy Balm which is not developed to be used on the face.
Are your products safe during pregnancy?
Yes, all of our products are specially formulated for pregnant and breastfeeding mamas and contain natural, plant based ingredients and are free from fragrance or essential oils. If you are unsure about any of our ingredients, please check with your treating health professional prior to use and patch test first.
I have developed stretch marks from my pregnancy. What product would you suggest?
Keeping your skin hydrated and moisturised during and after pregnancy may help to reduce the likelihood of developing stretch marks. We recommend using our Coconut Body Scrub to assist in buffing away try skin and providing a moisturising effect with coconut and grapeseed oil. We also recommend using a nourishing moisturiser or body oil throughout your pregnancy, such as our Body Lotion or Body Oil for Mamas, to keep your skin moisturised as your body changes. You can continue to use these products following the birth of your baby, to keep your skin moisturised and to help reduce the appearance of stretch marks.
Are your products safe for newborns?
Yes, all of the products in our baby range use gentle, natural ingredients that are suitable for use on babies and children of all ages. If you are unsure about any of our ingredients, please check with your treating health professional prior to use and patch test first.
My baby has sensitive skin. Are your products suitable?
Our products contain gentle cleansers, plant based oils, natural plant derived butters and are free from synthetic preservatives and cleansers, mineral oils, fragrance and other potential skin irritants, thus making our products suitable for sensitive skin. We recommend to do a small patch test prior to use on your baby’s wrist or ankle and wait 12-24 hours to ensure they do not have a reaction to any ingredients.
My baby has eczema. What product would you suggest?
While we don’t claim that our products specifically treat eczema or similar skin conditions, the moisturising properties of our Baby Lotion and Baby Oil may assist to hydrate and moisturise your baby’s skin and help to reduce the appearance of redness or dry skin.
Me or my baby have a nut allergy. Can we use your products?
Our Body Lotion for Mamas and our Baby Lotion contain sweet almond oil and should be avoided if you or your child have a nut allergy that includes almonds. Some of our other products contain coconut oil and our nappy balm contains shae nut butter. If you are unsure of whether your baby or child has any allergies, it is always advised to do a small patch test prior to use on your baby’s wrist or ankle and wait 12-24 hours to ensure they do not have a reaction to any ingredient.
